After breakfast, you'll visit the 210 metre-high Mosque of Hassan II which is second only in size to The Great Mosque of Mecca and travel in first-class comfort on the high-speed Al Boraq rail line to the nation's capital of Rabat. Tour this imperial city visiting the medina and souks, before exploring the lovely walled quarter of Kasbah des Oudaias, where you'll enjoy a mint tea in a café overlooking the ocean. DAY 5 Wednesday 14 October 2026 Moulay Idriss - Volubilis - Meknes
This morning, you'll enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside to the sacred village of Moulay Idriss to explore the medina, see traditional Moroccan life and visit their sacred tomb. After enjoying lunch, travel to the site of 3rd-century Volubilis - once one of the Roman Empire's most remote bases and the former capital of the Kingdom of Mauretania. Tour the ancient hilltop ruins and continue to the imperial city of Meknes, the former capital of Morocco and the one-time home of the Moroccan sultanate. Start by seeing the imposing gate of Bab El Mansour in the old town, tour the Moulay Ismail Shrine to see the massive, thick-walled granaries and wander the colourful markets where you can even stop for a camel burger at lunch! Today, you will join your local guide for a step back into the Middle Ages on a walking tour of the Fes el Bali old town. Visit the stunningly beautiful Bou Inania Madrasa, the 14th-century Al-Attarine Madrasa, known for its exquisite architecture and the Funduq al-Najjarin caravanserai. You'll also see the famous, but smelly tannery, known for the iconic view overlooking its colourful dye pits, and tour a ceramics factory where you can see potters at work. DAY 8 Saturday 17 October 2026 Sahara Desert Camp
Rising early, you'll depart for the long drive via fertile valleys, cedar and pine forests and over the High Atlas Mountains to the Sahara Desert. Stop in the mining town of Midelt for lunch and continue to the desert oasis town of Erfoud, which was built by the French in the early 1900s. Arrive at the orange-coloured Erg Chebbi sand dunes, which tower up to 150 metres in height and check into your luxury desert camp. Tonight, you'll enjoy a spectacular sunset as the evening light plays across the dunes and sets off the colours, before experiencing a memorable BBQ dinner together. This morning, visit the Valley of the Roses to see beautiful pink rose flowers which decorate the region, and stop at Skoura's vast palm grove, known as the 'Oasis of 1000 Palms' to see some privately owned mud brick kasbahs with their extravagant decorations. Stop for lunch, and continue to Ait Benhaddou a hilltop site almost unchanged since the 11th century. Its grand kasbah and fortified village is a fine example of clay architecture and it was used as a film set for many international movies. This morning, you'll traverse the winding passes of the magnificent High Atlas Mountains on the 'Road to Marrakesh'. This is where the magic comes alive in the city with snake charmers, monkey trainers, street performers, and plenty of food, smells, noise and merriment. This morning, you'll explore the tranquil salons and courtyards of Bahia Palace and visit the 12th-century Moorish landmark, the famous Koutoubia Mosque. Later, you'll wander the 1920s built Jardin Majorelle botanical gardens, which was purchased by Yves Saint Laurent in 1980 and enjoy some free time where you can stop at Le Jardin Secret - a traditional medina garden with its impressive courtyard, or relax in your riad. Check out of your hotel and at 8am, travel in first class comfort on an Al Atlas train journey to the Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport (CMN). The journey takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes and you'll arrive before 11am for your late-afternoon flights back to Australia. (B)

TOUR COSTS:
The tours costs are based on transport, accommodation costs and entrance costs at 7 August 2025. Travelrite reserves the right to alter the costs if any of these factors change, giving any passenger that has booked the right to withdraw with full refund of monies paid or modify arrangements. No alterations to costings will be made within 60 days of departure.
DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS:
A non-refundable deposit of $900 per passenger is required at the time of booking. Full payment will be required 60 days before departure. A 1.5% administration charge will be added to payment by Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellations within 60 days prior to departure will result in the loss of all monies paid. Cancellations outside of 60 days prior to departure will result in the loss of the deposit paid per person. Travel insurance is recommended to cover the costs of cancellation fees due to illness, death in family, etc.
CHANGES TO THE TOUR ITINERARY:
Travelrite International reserves the right to make changes to the tour itinerary to fit in with operational requirements. Any changes to the itinerary will be replaced with similar arrangements with an equal or greater value.
MINIMUM TOUR NUMBERS:
The tour has been costed on the basis of a minimum number of passengers having booked 60 days prior to departure. Travelrite reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full refund of all monies paid or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour at a modified cost if the minimum number is not achieved.
REFUNDS:
The tour is based on arrangements which do not allow for any refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals or other services not utilised after the tour has commenced.
BAGGAGE:
All passengers qualify for 1 piece free baggage allowance.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Travelrite International Pty Ltd. is the tour organiser. Travelrite International acts only as agents in making of arrangements with carriers, hoteliers and others for the tour. As a result, we cannot accept liability for any act or omission whatsoever, whether negligent or otherwise of those carriers, hoteliers or other persons providing services in connection with the tour over whom we have no direct or exclusive control. We do not accept responsibility for any injury, damage, loss, delay, change of schedule or any other events which are beyond our direct control, such as, but not limited to, war, flood, fire, civil disturbance, acts of God, acts of government, or any other authorities, terrorism, accidents to or failure of machinery or equipment, or industrial action. The passage contract in use by the carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the transportation companies or firms and the purchasers of these tours and the passengers. Baggage is at own risk throughout the tour. The contract shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria and any legal action must be undertaken in the State of Victoria.
DELAYS AND UNFORESEEN EVENTS:
You engage Travelrite International to book this tour on your behalf and you acknowledge that Travelrite International acts as your agent for the purpose of making contracts between you and the various providers of accommodation, transportation and other services that comprise the tour. Travelrite International. may without reference to you provide or make available to you, or may as your agent engage any third party to provide or make available to you, any good or service which Travelrite International reasonably believes is necessary for your benefit to maintain the tour itinerary, repatriate you or otherwise accommodate, transport or sustain you in circumstances in which the tour itinerary fails wholly or partly for any reason. You appoint Travelrite International your attorney for this purpose. You agree to pay Travelrite International any cost thereof and you indemnify Travelrite International in respect of any cost it incurs in this regard. Travelrite International advises you to obtain travel insurance generally including In respect of the risk that any such good or service may become required.
