Jim Porter has been the a licensed entertainment agent and talent manager for 30 years. He was a partner in G&J Rock ‘N’ Roll Entertainment one of Sydney’s leading 50’s and 60’s Entertainment Agencies and now with his wife owns Summer Breez Promotions. During his time in the industry Jim has been responsible for putting together a number of club shows covering Elvis, The Beatles and other top artists from the 50’ s, 60’s and 70’s as well as arranging and promoting well over 100 Rock ‘N’ Roll Shows featuring the music of the ERA and also judging talent quests and Rock ‘N’ Roll Dance Competitions. His love of the music of that ERA started at an early age and like most people grew up in the 60’s with the British Invasion as it became known and of course The Mersey Beat. Like many of you he grew up an avid fan of The Beatles watching and listening to their music, who could forget the release of the movie Hard Day’s Night or The Beatles Cartoons on TV every Saturday morning. From Love Me Do to Get Back, I love not only the music of The Beatles but also the Solo Careers of John, Paul, George and Ringo. I have been lucky to lead a number of Music Tours to the USA and look forward to you joining me as we travel to Hamburg, London and Liverpool to visit the amazing Beatles sites, homes and locations of the world’s greatest band. So join me as we look back at Eleanor Rigby, Strawberry Field and Abby Road on this Beatles adventure of a lifetime.
