



DAY 1 Melbourne
This afternoon we check into our central Melbourne hotel. This evening
we will host a welcome dinner to mark the start of the tour.
DAY 2 Great Ocean Road
A highlight of the tour! Travel to Great Ocean Road and the 12 Apostles
by vintage steam train! This morning departing Southern Cross Station,
our steam train will head out of the city and towards Geelong. We attack
the famous Geelong Tunnel. We then pick up speed and head towards
the volcanic plains of Colac and Camperdown. The countryside will soon
pass us by. We disembark the train at Birregurra Station and take a coach
and see the sights as you travel to the Great Ocean Road. Here you will
see the world famous 12 Apostles and view the Bay of Martyrs or The
Loch Ard Gorge. After taking in these sights, follow the coastal route
back to Warrnambool to meet the train, ready to return to Geelong
where we disembark and transfer to our hotel.
DAY 3 Queenscliff Railway
This morning we take the picturesque Bellarine Railway through
the Bellarine Peninsula to the graceful Victorian-era seaside town
of Queenscliff. Enjoy the coastal views as we steam along towards
Queenscliff. There will be time to explore the historic town before we
take the ferry across the entrance to Port Philip bay to the charming
seaside village of Sorrento. On arrival we will transferred to the town of
Mornington where we spend the night.
DAY 4 Mornington Railway
This morning we take the Mornington Steam Railway from Moorooduc
Station to the town of Mornington, return. We then travel to the town
of Healsville to take the Yarra Valley Railway. They currently run from
Healsville to the Tarrawarra Estate on the Walker Railmotor RM22. They
are currently working on repairing the track so the train can continue on
to Yarra Glen.
DAY 5 Goldfields Castlemaine and Daylesford
This morning we travel to the Daylesford and Spa Country Railway. We
travel in a restored railmotor along a section of the former Daylesford
branch line between Daylesford and Bullarto, a distance of about nine
kilometres. We then travel to the town of Castlemaine to take the
Victorian Goldfields Railway to the town of Maldon. Travel the 17kms by
Steam in the luxury of the early twentieth century heritage carriages.
Enjoy a drink or snack from the bar served by one of the Stewards while
you sit back and relax. Ride on the observation platform on the Parlour
car and let the world drift by. There will be time to enjoy the Goldfields
village of Maldon before we return to Castlemaine.
DAY 6 Melbourne
This morning we first visit the Melbourne Tram museum. Since 1885,
Melbourne has been one of the world’s great tramway cities. Explore
the history of trams and the contribution they have made to the place
where we live, in the most authentic tramway museum in Australia:
the heritage-listed Hawthorn Tram Depot. We then visit The Newport
Railway Museum. It hosts an extraordinary collection of steam, diesel
and electric trains as well as a host of other railway exhibits.
DAY 7 Puffing Billy
Todays journey aboard Puffing Billy takes you through the magnificent
Dandenong Ranges, With lush fern gullies brushing past and Mountain
Ash trees towering overhead, Puffing Billy makes for a wonderful
opportunity to relax and breathe in the fresh air whilst the train makes
its way through the temperate rainforest. Take some amazing photos
whilst the train travels over the historic Monbulk Creek Trestle Bridge. A
fantastic day!
DAY 8 Walhalla Railway
This morning we travel to the mountain gold mining town of Walhalla
to travel on the Walhalla Goldfields Railway through the spectacular
Stringers Creek Gorge. Highlights include the historic and spectacular
Thomson River Bridge. After the journey there will be time to explore
the historic mining village of Walhalla before we return to Melbourne
and our hotel. This evening we have a dinner to celebrate our tour.
DAY 9 Departure
This morning we check out of our hotel and are transferred to Melbourne
Airport for your onward flights. The tour concludes.

Tour deposit fully refundable up to 90 days prior to departure
Touring can involve a considerable amount of walking and stair-climbing in the places visited and it is important that all tour participants have a level of physical fitness that allows them to take part in this activity without the need of assistance from others.
Tour Operator: Travelrite International Pty Ltd, (ABN 64 005 817 078) is the tour operator.
Tour Costs: The tour costs are based on general transport, entry, and accommodation costs. Travelrite reserves the right to alter the costs if any of these factors change, giving any passenger that has booked the right to withdraw with full refund of monies paid or modify arrangements. No alterations to price will be made within 60 days of departure.
Deposit and Payment: A deposit of $500 per passenger is required at the time of booking. Full payment will be required 60 days before departure. Cancellation over 90 days before departure will allow you to receive your deposit refunded. Cancellations 90 to 61 days before tour departs will result in a loss of deposit. Cancellation under 60 days before tour departs will result in a loss of all monies paid. Payment may be made by cheque or cash – a 1.5 percent administration fee will be charged on payments made by credit cards.
Travel Insurance: Adequate travel insurance is highly recommended to cover cruise members for the consequences of unforeseen events during the cruise and for cancellation fees which could result from events such as illness, accident, death etc.
Minimum Tour Numbers: The tour has been priced on the basis of a minimum number of passengers having booked 60 days prior to departure. Travelrite reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full refund of all monies paid or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour at a modified cost.
Tour Organisation: Travelrite reserves the right to change advertised entrances if necessary for the smooth operation of the tour.
Refunds:
The tour is based on arrangements that do not allow for
any refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals or other
services not utilised after the tour has commenced.
Baggage: Due to coach restrictions, tour members can only bring one large suitcase.
TOUR PARTICIPATION:
Children under 5 years of age are ineligible on coach & cruise tours. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers with disabilities are welcome on Travelrite & Cruise Offers tours provided they are accompanied by a companion capable of providing all necessary assistance, and do not require special assistance from Travelrite & Cruise Offers personnel. Travelrite and Cruise Offers reserves the right to refuse to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of coach & cruise tour travel and who may require services and facilities that Travelrite & Cruise Offers cannot guarantee will be available. You agree to not hold the Travelrite & Cruise Offers responsible for any decision made by any of them or any service provider to refuse to carry you, provide any facilities or accommodation to you or to provide any service to you.
Responsibilities: Travelrite International Pty Ltd. (ABN 64 005 817 078) is the tour organiser. Travelrite acts only as an agent in the making of arrangements for hotels, transportation, restaurants or any other service and does not assume any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person or property due to an act of negligence or a default of any hotel, carrier restaurant company or person rendering any services included in the tour, or by act of God. Further no responsibilities are accepted for any damage or delay due to sickness, pilferage, labour disputes, machinery break-down, quarantine, government restraints, weather, terrorism or other causes beyond their control. No responsibility is accepted for any additional expense, omission, delays, re-routing or acts of any government authority. The passage contract between the carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the carriers and the purchasers of this tour and/or the passengers. The right is reserved to withdraw any tour and/or make such changes in the tour as may be found desirable or necessary for the convenience of the parties and the proper carrying out of the tour. This contract shall be construed in accordance of the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia.
DELAYS AND UNFORESEEN EVENTS:
You engage Travelrite International
to book this tour on your behalf and you acknowledge that Travelrite
International acts as your agent for the purpose of making contracts
between you and the various providers of accommodation, transportation
and other services that comprise the tour. Travelrite International may
without reference to you provide or make available to you, or may as
your agent engage any third party to provide or make available to you,
any good or service which Travelrite International reasonably believes is
necessary for your benefit to maintain the tour itinerary, repatriate you
or otherwise accommodate, transport or sustain you in circumstances in
which the tour itinerary fails wholly or partly for any reason. You appoint
Travelrite International your attorney for this purpose. You agree to pay
Travelrite International any cost thereof and you indemnify Travelrite
International in respect of any cost it incurs in this regard. Travelrite
advises you to obtain travel insurance generally including in respect of
the risk that any such good or service may become required.
TRAVEL VACCINATION POLICY:
All guests booked to travel internationally with Travelrite International are required to be fully vaccinated. The wellbeing of our guests is our top priority, which is why our updated vaccination policy requires all guests travelling with us through December 31, 2022 be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, which may include a booster shot to keep it current and valid.
