VIEW ITINERARYDay 1 Friday 28 October 2022 Hobart
Tour members will meet at Hobart airport. Please book a flight to arrive in Hobart
no later than 2.30pm. We will have a guided tour of picturesque Hobart before
visiting Lily and Dot’s store, which features gorgeous crochet blankets, baby
clothes, jewellery and exclusive handmade gifts. In the evening we will enjoy a
welcome dinner to meet Gaille Smith and other tour members.
Day 2 Saturday 29 October 2022 Hobart
This morning we will visit the bustling Salamanca market, where we can buy
from 170 stall holders representing artisans, designers and producers. We
continue with a visit to Salamanca Wool shop which sells stylish, comfortable and
warm garments.
Day 3 Sunday 30 October 2022 Hobart
As we meander through the apple-growing area of the aptly named Apple Isle
we stop to meet Julie at Highland Cow Farm for a tour of the farm. Julie spins
the hair from the Highland cattle, so that it can be woven. This afternoon will be
free for individual activity - perhaps a visit to the historic Tasmanian Museum
and Art Gallery.
Day 4 Monday 31 October 2022 Hobart
This morning we will attend a dyeing workshop at Bombed Yarns. We continue
with a visit to The Wool Shop in Moonah which is Tasmanian owned, supplying
customers since 1995. Its aim is to provide a wide range of quality yarns to suit
all customers and has collections for customers interested in weaving, spinning,
carding, felting and dyeing. We will continue with a visit to MONA the controversial
Hobart art gallery.
Day 5 Tuesday 1 November 2022 Launceston
We travel to Launceston today, stopping on the journey at Oatlands where
we visit the Lucky Ewe which is packed to the rafters with yarns, fibres, kits,
accessories, books and patterns. We continue to Ross, renowned for its beautiful
convict-built bridge. We will visit the Wool Centre, which was established as a
community centre and as retail space for all things related to wool. We continue
to Launceston, where we stay for two nights.
Day 6 Wednesday 2 November 2022 Launceston
Today we explore historic Woolmers Estate, one of the most historically significant
heritage properties in Australia and home to the National Rose Garden of Australia.
Covering two hectares, the garden provides visitors with a unique journey
through the evolution of the rose. The garden is home to all the recognized rose
families. We will also see the Heritage Vegetable Garden which houses heirloom
vegetables and fruits, not commonly found today. We continue to Waverley Mill,
established in 1874, for a tour. We will learn more about the history of the mill and
the manufacturing process.
Day 7 Thursday 3 November 2022 Deloraine
This morning we first travel to visit Entally House, the first National Trust house in
Australia. Built in 1820 by Thomas Reibey, the house has an elegant garden set in
forty-five hectares. We continue with a visit to The Yarn Inn, which supplies high
quality yarns, then on to Deloraine to visit YARNS, a silk art work created by more
than 300 people in the Deloraine area. We will be ready for the opening of the
Tasmanian Craft Fair tomorrow. It boasts over 200 vendors spread around eight
venues and six galleries.
Day 8 Friday 4 November 2022 Deloraine
Today we enjoy wandering around the Craft Fair. Gaille will point the group in the
direction of the most interesting sights. We will enjoy a farewell dinner tonight to
say farewell to Gaille and other tour members.
Day 9 Saturday 5 November Deloraine
We will spend this morning at the Craft Fair. We continue to the airport early
afternoon and the tour concludes. Please don’t book flights departing before 3pm.

Touring can involve a considerable amount of walking and stair climbing in the places visited and it is important that all tour participants have a level of physical fitness that allows them to take part in this activity without the assistance from others.

Tour Costs:
The tour costs are based on general transport, entry, and
accommodation costs. Travelrite reserves the right to alter the costs if any
of these factors change, giving any passenger that has booked the right
to withdraw with full refund of monies paid or modify arrangements. No
alterations to price will be made within 45 days of departure from Australia.
Deposit and Payment:
deposit of $900 per passenger should be
sent with a completed Travelrite International booking form. As soon
as the booking is confirmed, a confirmation advice will be posted to
the client. Final payments are due to be paid to Travelrite International
62 days prior to the commencement of the tour. A 1.5% administration
fee will be added to payments by Visa, Mastercard or AMEX
Cancellation Charges: * Cancellation conditions don’t apply for clients with future cruise/tour credits. Cruise/tour credits are non-refundable.
Full fare will be charged within 62 days of departure.
Refunds:
The tour is based on arrangements which do not allow for
any refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals or other
services not utilised after the tour has commenced.
Travel Insurance: Adequate travel insurance is highly recommended to cover tour members for the consequences of unforeseen events during the tour and for cancellation fees which could result from events such as illness, accident, death etc.
Baggage: Due to coach restrictions, tour members can only bring one large suitcase.
Minimum Tour Numbers: The tour arrangements have been made on the basis of a minimum number of passengers travelling. In the event that less than the required number of passengers have confirmed their booking 62 days from the date of departure, Travelrite International reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full refund of monies paid, or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour at a modified fare.
Tour Participation:
Children under 5 years of age are ineligible on coach & cruise tours. Children under 18 years of age must be
accompanied by an adult. Passengers with disabilities are welcome on Travelrite & Cruise Offers tours provided they are accompanied by a companion capable of providing
all necessary assistance, and do not require special assistance from Travelrite & Cruise Offers personnel. Travelrite and Cruise Offers reserves the right to
refuse to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of coach & cruise tour travel and who may require services and facilities that
Travelrite & Cruise Offers cannot guarantee will be available. You agree to not hold the Travelrite & Cruise Offers responsible for any decision made by any of them or
any service provider to refuse to carry you, provide any facilities or accommodation to you or to provide any service to you.
Responsibilities: Travelrite International Pty Ltd ATAS accredited A10538 is the tour organiser. Travelrite International Pty Ltd, its agents, officers, affiliates, and/or suppliers of services pursuant to, or in connection with these cruises, shall act only as agents for the passenger in making arrangements for hotels, transportation, including transportation by ship, restaurants, or any other service and do not assume any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person or property due to an act of negligence or a default of any hotel, carrier restaurant company or person rendering any services included in cruises, or by act of God. Further no responsibilities are accepted for any damage or delay due to sickness, pilferage, labour disputes, machinery break-down, quarantine, government restraints, weather, terrorism or other causes beyond their control. No responsibility is accepted for any additional expense, omission, delays, re-routing or acts of any government authority. The passage contract between the carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the carriers and the purchasers of these tours and/or the passengers. The right is reserved to withdraw any part of the tour and/or make such changes in the tour as may be found desirable or necessary for the convenience of the parties and the proper carrying out of the tour. This contract shall be construed in accordance of the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia and any legal action must be taken in the State of Victoria.
