Jules Boult is an award winning blues singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and recording artist. Jules’ musical career has taken him across Australia, the United States and Europe. Since 2011 he has released five albums to critical acclaim and been awarded a coveted Australian Blues Music Award. From 2015 to 2019 Jules toured the US annually, from New Orleans to New York, via the Mississippi delta, performing and recording with various musicians, including Kermit Ruffins, Mississippi John Horton, and The Oak Ridge Boys.
DAY 1 Thursday 14 April, 2022 Tweed Heads
Tour group members will be picked up from Gold Coast Airport at 2pm and transferred to our hotel in Tweed Heads (Gold Coast). It is a short drive from Tweed Heads to Byron Bay. Since 1990, the Byron Bay Bluesfest has showcased music from around the world every Easter long weekend. Previous featured artists include Bob Dylan, Hozier, Paul Simon, Gary Clark Jr., Angus & Julia Stone, Robert Plant, Alabama Shakes, John Legend, and B.B. King – just to name a few. Evening: We will organise for those interested to attend the Australian Outback Spectacular (optional), on the Gold Coast.
DAY 2 Friday 15 April, 2022 Byron Bay Bluesfest
Today we attend the fantastic Byron Bay Bluesfest. You will be entertained by the best blues artists from around Australia. Grab your festival program, camera and dancing shoes... this will be a wonderful experience! Evening: Enjoy more free time at the Byron Bay Bluesfest. (B)
DAY 3 Saturday 16 April, 2022 Byron Bay Bluesfest
Today is your second day at the Byron Bay Bluesfest. Another opportunity for you to explore the many stages and stalls in search of your favourite flavour of blues, food and good times! (Food is optional). All day and night you will be entertained by the best blues artists from Australia and around the world! (B)
DAY 4 Sunday 17 April, 2022 Byron Bay Bluesfest
Today is the third day at the Byron Bay Bluesfest and a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the finale of the blues festival. The biggest names in blues music perform on the last night of the festival. Check your program, choose your stage and get down for the finale of the festival. (B)
DAY 5 Monday 18 April, 2022 Toowoomba
Morning: Depart Bryon Bay and travel to Brisbane. Visit the Bee Gees Way in Redcliffe, a multi-media mini outdoor museum. Continue onto Toowoomba and visit the outstanding Cobb & Co Museum. See Australia’s finest collection of horse-drawn vehicles. Also in Toowoomba, we pay tribute to Steele Rudd, the locally born author who created Dad & Dave. Enjoy an entertaining ‘reading’ from one or two of his literary works. Tonight we will visit The Powerhouse, in Toowoomba, for live blues music. (B)
DAY 6 Tuesday 19 April, 2022 Hervey Bay/Fraser Island
Morning: Depart Toowoomba and travel towards Hervey Bay. Travel through the small town of Kilkivan, where gold was first discovered in Queensland in 1852. We will stop in Maryborough and visit the outstanding Military and Colonial Museum, and The Story Bank museum, where you’ll learn about the life of P.L. Travers (creator of Mary Poppins). Continue on to Hervey Bay, gateway to Fraser Island. Tonight we will organise a local Blues performance at our hotel. (B)
DAY 7 Wednesday 20 April, 2022 Hervey Bay/Fraser Island
Today we enjoy a sightseeing tour of Fraser Island, a spectacular, unspoiled paradise of sweeping beaches, breathtaking rainforests, natural lakes and wonderful scenery that justifies the World Heritage Listing. Stretching over 123 kilometres, and at 184 000 hectares it is the largest sand island in the world. We will visit iconic spots including Lake McKenzie, Eli Creek, Seventy- Five Mile Beach, Central Station, Wanggoolba Creek, the S.S. Maheno shipwreck, and the Pinnacles (coloured sand cliffs). (B)
DAY 8 Thursday 21 April, 2022 Bundaberg
This morning we travel to the famous town of Bundaberg. Bundaberg doesn’t just revolve around Bundaberg Rum and Bundaberg Ginger Beer... it is also the landmark of the southernmost part of the Great Barrier Reef and is notable for its sugar industry. On arrival we will visit the main town, the Botanical Gardens and the Hinkler Hall of Aviation, which brings to life the adventures and achievements of Australia’s famous pioneer solo aviator Bert Hinkler. After lunch we will enjoy The Bundaberg Rum Distillery Experience, which finishes at the Bundaberg Rum Tasting Bar, where you can sample some of the top shelf rums. (B,Rum Tasting)
DAY 9 Friday 22 April, 2022 Noosa
This morning we travel south along the Queensland coast to Brisbane. We will stop for lunch in Gympie and visit the Gympie Gold Mining and Historical Museum. We will also stop in Noosa to walk along the spectacular Noosa beach into the Noosa National Park. On arrival in Brisbane we will check into our hotel and the afternoon is free. This evening we enjoy an included Farewell dinner including a performance by Jules Boult. (B,D)
DAY 10 Saturday 23 April, 2022 Departure
This morning after breakfast, we are transferred to Brisbane Airport for flights back home. (B)

Touring can involve a considerable amount of walking and stair climbing in the places visited and it is important that all tour participants have a level of physical fitness that allows them to take part in this activity without the need of assistance from others.
Travelrite International Pty Ltd. ACN 005 817 0781 (Travelrite International) is the tour operator.
The tour costs are based on general transport, entry, and accommodation costs. Travelrite reserves the right to alter the costs if any of these factors change, giving any passenger that has booked the right to withdraw with full refund of monies paid or modify arrangements. No alterations to price will be made within 90 days of departure from Australia.
Deposit and Payment
A deposit of $500 per passenger for is required at the time of booking. Full payment will be required 60 days before departure for the Bryon Bay Bluesfest & Queensland Discovery Tour. Cancellation over 60 days before tour departs the deposit is refundable. Cancellation under 60 days before tour departs will result in a loss of all monies paid. Payment may be made by cheque or cash a 1.5% administration fee will be charged on payments made by credit cards.
Travel insurance is recommended to cover the costs of cancellation fees due to illness, death in family, etc.
Minimum Tour Numbers
The tour has been priced on the basis of a minimum number of passengers having booked 60 days prior to departure. Travelrite reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full refund of all monies paid or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour at a modified cost.
Travelrite reserves the right to change advertised entrances if necessary for the smooth operation of the tour.
Due to coach restrictions, tour members can only bring one large suitcase.
The tour is based on arrangements which do not allow for any refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals or other services not utilised after the tour has commenced.
Children under 5 years of age are ineligible on coach & cruise tours. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers with disabilities are welcome on Travelrite & Cruise Offers tours provided they are accompanied by a companion capable of providing all necessary assistance, and do not require special assistance from Travelrite & Cruise Offers personnel. Travelrite and Cruise Offers reserves the right to refuse to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of coach & cruise tour travel and who may require services and facilities that Travelrite & Cruise Offers cannot guarantee will be available. You agree to not hold the Travelrite & Cruise Offers responsible for any decision made by any of them or any service provider to refuse to carry you, provide any facilities or accommodation to you or to provide any service to you.

Travelrite acts only as an agent in the making of arrangements for hotels, transportation, restaurants or any other service and does not assume any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person or property due to an act of negligence or a default of any hotel, carrier restaurant company or person rendering any services included in the tour, or by act of God. Further no responsibilities are accepted for any damage or delay due to sickness, pilferage, labour disputes, machinery break-down, quarantine, government restraints, weather, terrorism or other causes beyond their control. No responsibility is accepted for any additional expense, omission, delays, rerouting or acts of any government authority. The passage contract between the carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the carriers and the purchasers of this tour and/or the passengers. The right is reserved to withdraw any tour and/or make such changes in the tour as may be found desirable or necessary for the convenience of the parties and the proper carrying out of the tour. This contract shall be construed in accordance of the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia and any legal action must be undertaken in the State of Victoria.
Delays and Unforeseen Events
YYou engage Travelrite International to book this tour on your behalf and you acknowledge that Travelrite Inter- national acts as your agent for the purpose of making contracts between you and the various providers of accommodation, transportation and other services that comprise the tour. Travelrite International may without reference to you provide or make available to you, or may as your agent engage any third party to provide or make available to you, any good or service which Travelrite International reasonably believes is necessary for your benefit to maintain the tour itinerary, repatriate you or otherwise accommodate, transport or sustain you in circumstances in which the tour itinerary fails wholly or partly for any reason. You appoint Travelrite International your attorney for this purpose. You agree to pay Travelrite International any cost thereof and you indemnify Travelrite International in respect of any cost it incurs in this regard. Travelrite advises you to obtain travel insurance generally including in respect of the risk that any such good or service may become required.
