



Outside Cabins open onto the outside deck and have picture windows. Each cabin has a private ensuite, air-conditioning, electric blankets, soaps, shampoo and towels and are serviced daily. Each cabin is approximately 12 sq metres. Most rooms have twin beds. A $60 per cabin per night surcharge applies for cabins with a double bed, subject to availability. Single/Sole Occupancy cabins may be smaller than standard twin rooms.
Jules Boult is an award winning blues singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and recording artist. Jules’ musical career has taken him across Australia, the United States and Europe. Since 2011 he has released five albums to critical acclaim and been awarded a coveted Australian Blues Music Award. From 2015 to 2019 Jules toured the US annually, from New Orleans to New York, via the Mississippi delta, performing and recording with various musicians, including Kermit Ruffins, Mississippi John Horton, and The Oak Ridge Boys.
One of South Australia’s gemstones of musicianship. Over four decades travelling as a troubadour journey man has seen Chris Finnen often referred to as the ‘guitarist’s guitarist’. Recognition for Finnen’s work has brought him national and regional guitar awards and 1995 saw him inducted into the SAMIA Hall of Fame.
VIEW ITINERARYDAY 1 Thursday 18 August, 2022 Adelaide/Mannum
Tour members will depart Adelaide downtown at 10.00am or depart from
Adelaide airport at 10.30am. (Please allow adequate time to collect your
luggage prior to departure). We will have time for a stop in the quaint town
of Hahndorf – “Australia’s Oldest German Town”, settled in 1839 by Lutherans
fleeing religious persecution in Prussia. Hahndorf was named after the ship’s
captain Hahn, whilst dorf is German for village. We continue onto Mannum
arriving in the afternoon. This evening we enjoy an included Welcome
Dinner. We will also organise for Jules Boult to sing a few welcome songs. (D)
DAY 2 Friday 19 August, 2022 Embarkation/Mundurra
This morning there will be free time to explore historic Mannum, birthplace
of Murray River trade. Mid-afternoon we board the PS Murray Princess and
head downriver while we enjoy a Welcome Dinner. As we cruise under
floodlight to our overnight mooring at Mundurra, you may see nocturnal
wildlife on the riverbank. Watch for kangaroos, hairynosed wombats,
tortoises, egrets and many other species. Our on-board entertainer provides
music for the night owls. (D)
DAY 3 Saturday 20 August, 2022 Salt Bush Flat
In 1879 the first bridge to span the Murray River was built at Edwards
Crossing, which quickly became the bustling township of Murray Bridge.
After a hearty breakfast, choose to join a guided tour of the town’s historic
landmarks and local attractions or go on a wildlife tour at Monarto Safari Park
(additional cost). Those who choose to experience Monarto Safari Park will
arrive back on board the Murray Princess in time for lunch then join us in the
Sturt Dining Room for a special presentation on the bounty of food and wine
produced in the Riverland. This afternoon, we continue our journey upriver
and tonight we moor at Salt Bush Flat. After dinner, enjoy being entertained
by the Murray Princess talented crew. (B,L,D)
DAY 4 Sunday 21 August, 2022 Piggy Flat/Coolcha
This morning, join a guided nature walk where our guide will share the secrets
of the local flora and fauna. It’s a great way to get in a little exercise before the
PS Murray Princess departs and cruises downriver. Near Fromms Landing, we
turn and head downriver to River View Lodge (near Piggy Flat / Coolcha) where
your discovery vessel awaits for a wildlife tour. Travelling in small, personalised
groups, we explore the maze of the river and the birdlife is amazing. Watch for
darters, herons and egrets feeding along the river’s muddy edges. The
afternoon offers a choice of bocce or fishing challenges before a delicious final
night dinner in the Sturt Dining Room. After dinner join tour members for an intimate blues music performances
and jams led by Jules. Tour guests are encouraged to join in. (B,L,D)
DAY 5 Monday 22 August, 2022 Disembarkation/Victor Harbor
This morning we will head back to Mannum. After an included breakfast we
reluctantly say farewell to the PS Murray Princess as we arrive at the Mannum
Wharf. We board our coach to transfer to Victor Harbor. Along the way we
will stop in Murray Bridge. We will visit the Roundhouse and then have
time for lunch. Built for Henry Parker, the superintendent over-seeing the
construction of the first bridge to span the Murray River, the Round House
has also served as the town’s first school, post office, church and council
chambers. Evening: We will travel to a good venue in Goolwa/Victor Harbor
for a concert with Jules Boult & The South Coast Redeemers. We continue on
to Victor Harbor. (B)
DAY 6 Tuesday 23 August, 2022 Victor Harbor
This morning join the Cockle Train as it travels along the oldest steel railed railway in Australia, dating back to 1887, when it was constructed to provide a link between the River Murray and the ocean wharfs at Port Elliot and later Victor Harbor. In early days of settlement the local residents would take a horse drawn train to Goolwa to collect cockles from the sandy beaches near the Murray mouth. It was a great day’s outing and thus gained its name. Between Port Elliot and Victor Harbor the train climbs to the top of the coastal cliffs and passengers then experience some of the most picturesque coastal scenery on the Fleurieu Peninsula, with nothing separating you from the beach below and a perfect view of the Southern Ocean – in winter the home of Southern Right Whales. DAY 7 Wednesday 24 August, 20 22 Adelaide
This morning we will ride the historic Victor Harbor horse drawn tram across
the Causeway to Granite Island. We then travel via McLaren Vale to Adelaide.
We will stop in McLaren Vale with time for lunch and afterwards enjoy a wine
tasting at a nearby winery. We will also visit the famous d’Arenberg Cube,
a spectacular 5 storey contemporary cellar door/art gallery building, before
continuing on to Adelaide. Evening: Free evening to explore Adelaide and its
many music venues. (B)
DAY 8 Thursday 25 August, 2022 Adelaide
This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of Adelaide, the “City of Churches”, so
called due to its 529 exquisite, architecturally designed churches, with the
Holy Trinity Anglican Church being the oldest, dating from 1838. We will see
the art gallery, museum, state library, university and the Adelaide Botanic
Garden. Evening: We will travel to the Wheatsheaf Hotel for a Farewell Dinner
and a special concert with Jules Boult and The Chris Finnen Band. (B,D)
DAY 9 Friday 26 August, 2022 Departure
This morning, after breakfast, we are transferred to Adelaide Airport for
flights back home.

Touring can involve a considerable amount of walking and stair climbing in the places visited and it is important that all tour participants have a level of physical fitness that allows them to take part in this activity without the need of assistance from others.

Tour Costs
The tour costs are based on general transport, entry, and accommodation
costs. Travelrite reserves the right to alter the costs if any of these factors
change, giving any passenger that has booked the right to withdraw with full
refund of monies paid or modify arrangements. No alterations to price will be
made within 90 days of departure from Australia
Deposit and Payment
A deposit of $250 per passenger is required at the time of booking. Full payment will be required 90 days before departure for the Murray River Cruise tour. Cancellation over 120 days before tour departs the deposit is refundable. Cancellation under 120 days before tour departs will result in a loss of all monies paid. Payment may be made by cheque or cash. A 1.5% administration fee will be charged on payments made by credit cards.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is recommended to cover the costs of
cancellation fees due to illness, death in family, etc.
Minimum Tour Numbers
The tour has been priced on the basis of a minimum number of passengers having booked 90 days prior to departure. Travelrite reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full refund of all monies paid or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour at a modified cost.
Tour Organisation
Travelrite reserves the right to change advertised
entrances if necessary for the smooth operation of the tour.
Baggage
Due to coach restrictions, tour members can only bring one large
suitcase.
Refunds
The tour is based on arrangements which do not allow for any
refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals or other services
not utilised after the tour has commenced.
Tour Participation
Children under 5 years of age are ineligible on coach & cruise tours. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers with disabilities are welcome on Travelrite & Cruise Offers tours provided they are accompanied by a companion capable of providing all necessary assistance, and do not require special assistance from Travelrite & Cruise Offers personnel. Travelrite and Cruise Offers reserves the right to refuse to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of coach & cruise tour travel and who may require services and facilities that Travelrite & Cruise Offers cannot guarantee will be available. You agree to not hold the Travelrite & Cruise Offers responsible for any decision made by any of them or any service provider to refuse to carry you, provide any facilities or accommodation to you or to provide any service to you.
Responsibilities
Travelrite International Pty Ltd. (ABN 64 005 817 078) is the
tour organizer. Travelrite acts only as an agent in the making of arrangements
for hotels, transportation, restaurants or any other service and does not assume
any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to
person or property due to an act of negligence or a default of any hotel, carrier
restaurant company or person rendering any services included in the tour, or
by act of God. Further no responsibilities are accepted for any damage or delay
due to sickness, pilferage, labour disputes, machinery break-down, quarantine,
government restraints, weather, terrorism or other causes beyond their control.
No responsibility is accepted for any additional expense, omission, delays, rerouting
or acts of any government authority. The passage contract between the
carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the
carriers and the purchasers of this tour and/or the passengers. The right is reserved
to withdraw any tour and/or make such changes in the tour as may be found
desirable or necessary for the convenience of the parties and the proper carrying
out of the tour. This contract shall be construed in accordance of the laws of the
State of Victoria, Australia and any legal action must be undertaken in the State of
Victoria. Attention is also directed to the terms and conditions of the cruise passage
contract with Captain Cook Cruises, detailed on their website.
Delays and Unforeseen Events
You engage Travelrite International to book this tour on your behalf and you acknowledge that Travelrite Inter- national acts as your agent for the purpose of making contracts between you and the various providers of accommodation, transportation and other services that comprise the tour. Travelrite International may without reference to you provide or make available to you, or may as your agent engage any third party to provide or make available to you, any good or service which Travelrite International reasonably believes is necessary for your benefit to maintain the tour itinerary, repatriate you or otherwise accommodate, transport or sustain you in circumstances in which the tour itinerary fails wholly or partly for any reason. You appoint Travelrite International your attorney for this purpose. You agree to pay Travelrite International any cost thereof and you indemnify Travelrite International in respect of any cost it incurs in this regard. Travelrite advises you to obtain travel insurance generally including in respect of the risk that any such good or service may become required.
