Today you will depart Australia for Hawaii and arrive the same day. The group
will meet Robert Stock on arrival at Honolulu airport for your transfer to the #1
Honolulu hotel overlooking Waikiki Beach. The only hotel on Oahu with its own
golf course – the Arnold Palmer designed Hawaii Prince Golf Club. This afternoon
will enjoy a sightseeing coach tour of Honolulu & Waikiki with a local guide. We will
see the statue of Queen Lili’uokalani (Hawaii’s last reigning monarch), the Royal
Hawaiian Hotel (1927 art-deco landmark) and Pearl Harbour. #1 of 86 ranked hotels
in Honolulu, Trip Advisor.
DAY 2 Wednesday May 4, 2022 Oahu, Waikiki Beach
Play Ko Olina Golf Course
Ko Olina Golf Club, one of Golf Digest’s “Top 75 Resort Courses in the U.S.” is a
challenging 18-hole Oahu golf course built in 1990 by renowned course architect
Ted Robinson. Typical of his designs, Ko Olina Golf Club features exceptional water
features, multi-tiered greens and large landing areas. Located on the sunny West
Coast of Oahu, just a short drive from Honolulu and Waikiki, Ko Olina Golf Club is
also home to the 2012 – 2019 LOTTE Championship presented by Hershey.
DAY 3 Thursday May 5, 2022 Oahu, Waikiki Beach
Play Turtle Bay, Palmer Golf Course
Our golfing odyssey continues today to the beautiful North Shore of Oahu. Opening
in 1992, the Arnold Palmer Course, designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, was
rated one of Golf Magazine’s “Top 10 New Courses” in America and ranked 4th
among Golf Digest’s “Best New Resort Courses in America” the year it opened.
The Palmer-Seay layout features two very distinct experiences. The front nine will
challenge you with a Scottish Links style layout, while the back nine has a more
tropical setting as it meanders through a tropical jungle and forest of ironwoods.
The course forms a horseshoe around the Punaho’olapa marsh, an unspoiled 100-
acre wetlands and bird sanctuary. The 17th, the signature hole offers panoramic
Pacific Ocean views from the green while the hole is dotted with nine bunkers,
which makes it as challenging as it is scenic
DAY 4 Friday May 6, 2022 Oahu, Waikiki Beach
Play Royal Hawaiian
Royal Hawaiian is located on the east side of Oahu at the base of the Ko'olau
Mountain Range with colossal Mt. Olomana its background. The course is carved
through a tropical rain forest and is known for its breathtaking views throughout.
Royal Hawaiian can best be described as playing golf in Jurassic Park without the
dinosaurs! The astounding scenery begins right away with a 1.5 mile drive through
a magnificent rainforest to get to the clubhouse. The Pete and Perry Dye designed
layout has contrasting nines, with a front side that features a rugged mountainous
terrain and an open rolling terrain back nine. With a slope of 138 from the back
tees and a distance of about 6600 yards, this demanding track is certainly an
interesting mix of beauty and challenge. Royal Hawaiian should definitely be on
everyone's bucket list!
DAY 5 Saturday May 7, 2022 Pride of America
Embarkation, at sea
This morning is free for sightseeing or enjoying the hotel pools. At midday we will
be transferred to the waterfront to board Pride of America. After settling into your
cabin, come out on deck to watch as the ship slips its moorings and we depart on
our amazing 7-night cruise. In the evening enjoy outstanding cuisine, including
specialty Hawaiian dishes, in the ship’s high quality dining facilities. After dinner,
free time for you to explore the ship’s fabulous facilities.
DAY 6 Sunday May 8, 2022 Kahului, Maui
Play Wailea Gold Golf Course
Designed by Robert Trent Jones II, the Wailea (Gold) was honoured by both Golf
Magazine and Golf Digest as one of the country’s ten best new resort courses
when it opened in 1994. Known as a “thinking player’s course”, the Gold offers a
true test to a golfers skills. You will enjoy spectacular vistas of the ocean, Molokini
islet, ancient lava rock walls, coconut trees and sparkling white bunkers. The Maui
Historical Society recognized the course for its preservation of prehistoric lava rock
walls during construction, and hailed it as one of the world’s best designed courses
by the readers of Conde Nast Traveller in the magazine’s first golf resorts poll.
The Gold’s 200 foot elevation change from top to bottom enhances the numerous
ocean and mountain views available from virtually every hole.
DAY 7 Monday May 9, 2022 Kahului, Maui
Play Kapalua Plantation Course
Today you will play the #1 golf course in Hawaii. The Plantation Course is sure to
be on every golfer’s bucket list. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, the
course was designed on a grand scale in keeping with its location on the slopes
of the West Maui Mountains and offers dramatic ocean views from virtually every
hole. Its lengthy 7,411 yard par 73 layout challenges the pros but it’s wide fairways
and generous greens make it very playable for the average golfer. With dramatic
elevation changes, this course offers plenty of downhill tee shots. You’ll feel like one
of the pros when - with the aid of the aggressive slope of the 18th fairway - you will
enjoy hitting one of the longest drives of your life.
DAY 8 Tuesday May 10, 2022 Hilo, Hawaii
This morning we arrive in the town of Hilo, which is Hawaii’s largest island. This
morning we enjoy a sightseeing coach tour of the island’s east coast with a local
guide including a visit to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park where you will get
close to the action, visiting popular sites such as Halemaumau Crater, the Kilauea
Iki crater, and Devastation Trail.
DAY 9 Wednesday May 11, 2022 Kailua, Hawaii
Play Mauna Lani South Golf Course
Mauna Lani’s South Course is home to Hole #15, one of the most photographed
over-the-water golf course holes in the world. Renowned as the former home
to the annual Senior Skins Game from 1990 - 2000, the course snakes through the stark, rugged a’a lava of the prehistoric Kaniku lava flow. The challenging
South Course offers golfers panoramic views of both rugged mountains as well
as calming, beautiful ocean. Playing Mauna Lani South is a must for any golfer
visiting the Big Island.
DAY 10 Thursday May 12, 2022 Nawiliwili, Kauai
Play Poipu Bay Golf Course
Poipu Bay Golf Club is always in immaculate shape. With its links style traditional
set up, spectacular vistas and varying trade winds Poipu was recognized as top
15 Resort Golf Courses in Hawaii, according to Golf Magazine in 2014. You may
remember watching Phil Mickelson play here as he breezed through the final
stretch of holes which parallel the Pacific Ocean atop 150-foot cliffs and set the
course record 59 to win the 2004 PGA Grand Slam which still holds true to this day.
DAY 11 Friday May 13, 2022 Nawiliwili, Kauai
Optional Golf Day Play Hokuala (Ocean) Golf Course
Today is a very early start for the keenest golfers and thus an optional golf day.
The course we play is well worth it as Hokuala is one of the World’s Most Beautiful
Golf Courses according to MSN Travel and ranked #8 in “Best-Of-State” rankings
by Golf Magazine in 2014. The Ocean Course at Hokuala is known for having the
longest continuous stretch of ocean holes in all of Hawaii, so be sure and come
prepared with enough battery life and storage in your phone as you’ll want to take
plenty of pictures while on this enchanting landscape.
DAY 12 Saturday May 14, 2022 Oahu – Disembarkation
Play Hawaii Prince
This morning the Pride of America arrives back in Honolulu. We disembark and our
coach will take us to play the Hawaii Prince golf course. Designed by Arnold Palmer
and Ed Seay, this unique course is the only one in Hawaii to feature 27 holes. It
occupies 270 acres of sheer beauty and offers stunning views of the rain-carved
Waianae Mountains. Each of the 9’s are designated “A”, “B” and “C”, and the
abundant number of water features is the dominant characteristic of this track.
Within the property of the golf course there are 10 lakes which come in to play in
over half of the holes. After our game we check back into the Hawaii Prince Waikiki
for our last night in Hawaii. Tonight we will enjoy a farewell dinner and presentation
of prizes.
