Each of the 9’s are designated “A”, “B” and “C”, and the abundant number of water features is the dominant characteristic of this track. Within the property of the golf course there are 10 lakes which come in to play in over half of the holes. After our game we check back into the Hawaii Prince Waikiki for our last night in Hawaii. The Palmer-Seay layout features two very distinct experiences. The front nine will challenge you with a Scottish Links style layout, while the back nine has a more tropical setting as it meanders through a tropical jungle and forest of ironwoods. The course forms a horseshoe around the Punaho’olapa marsh, an unspoiled 100- acre wetlands and bird sanctuary. The 17th, the signature hole offers panoramic Pacific Ocean views from the green while the hole is dotted with nine bunkers, which makes it as challenging as it is scenic.
