VIEW ITINERARYDAY 1 Wednesday 9 February 2022 Victoria Golf Club
Play Victoria Golf Club, rated #73 in the World by US Golf Digest
Today we will meet at Victoria Golf Club one of the jewels of Australian
golf. Victoria Golf Club has challenged some of the game’s greatest players
in professional tournaments. Yet it still provides an enjoyable round for
the skilful player or the golfer that simply enjoys playing the great game
of golf. Five-time winner of The Open Championship, the late Peter
Thomson, Jack Nicklaus, Gene Sarazen, Tiger Woods and Karrie Webb
have all graced Victoria with their presence. After golf you will enjoy a meal
in the club’s dining room and then retire to the wonderfully appointed club
accommodation.
DAY 2 Thursday 10 February 2022 Barnbougle, Tasmania
Play Barnbougle Dunes, rated #16 in the World by US Golf Digest
Today after breakfast overlooking the first tee of Victoria Golf Club we will
take the ten minute trip to Moorabbin Airport. After acquainting ourselves
with our luxury plane we will land, after a one hour flight, on the airstrip
adjacent to the second fairway of Barnbougle Dunes. Once we have
stored our luggage in the Dunes clubhouse we will start the Tasmanian
section of our golfing adventure. Barnbougle Dunes is a Links Golf Course
unlike any other in Australia. Meandering along Tasmania’s dramatic North
East coast, it’s where breathtaking scenery and thrilling golf truly come
together. Fairways are wide, wider than most golfers will have experienced
on traditional courses. The greens are lively; rolling with the natural
undulation of the dunes and with the 4th hole boasting the largest bunker
in the southern hemisphere, this course is designed to challenge. After golf
on the Dunes we will take the shuttle to the Lost Farm Villas where we
will stay for two nights. The views from the restaurant have a marvellous
outlook over both the course and the Bass Strait.
DAY 3 Friday 11 February 2022 Barnbougle
Play Lost Farm, rated #47 in the World by US Golf Digest
Today after waking to the sound of crashing waves you will play the Lost
Farm course. The Lost Farm tracks along the coast and inland amongst
sand dunes that are significantly steeper than those featured at the
neighbouring Barnbougle Dunes. The strategic bunkering and undulating
greens combined with wide fairways make for a course that offers
an exciting challenge for golfers of all abilities. For the super keen golf
tourist there is the optional opportunity to play Bougle Run designed by
internationally acclaimed golf architect Bill Coore of Coore & Crenshaw.
Bougle Run offers 14 holes set atop the undulating sand dunes found
behind Barnbougle Lost Farm. The track offers twelve par-3s and two par-
4s, which includes some of the highest points of the entire complex.
DAY 4 Saturday 12 February 2022 Hobart
After a leisurely breakfast we say goodbye to Barnbougle and fly south to
Australia’s southernmost capital Hobart. On arrival in Hobart the rest of
the day is free to enjoy the Salamanca markets or perhaps take the ferry
to MONA Gallery.
DAY 5 Sunday 13 February 2022 Hobart
Play Royal Hobart Golf Club
Royal Hobart is recognised as Tasmania’s premier members’ Club and
particular emphasis is placed on presenting the course in impeccable
condition all year round. There are 80 fairway and greenside bunkers all
positioned to excite and challenge. Royal Hobart has hosted a number of
major Championship events including the Qantas Australian Open in 1971
won by the legendary Jack Nicklaus.

Tasmanian Wilderness. After landing in Devonport we will travel by
coach to delve into the heart of Tasmania at Cradle Mountain. With a

of opportunities to experience the beauty of Tasmania’s wilderness first
hand. We will overnight at Cradle Mountain.
DAY 7 Tuesday 15 February 2022 King Island
Play Cape Wickham, rated #21 in the World by US Golf Digest
After breakfast in the mountains we head off to rejoin our plane in
Devenport for the flight to King Island. Our game today is at Cape
Wickham golf course, a truly spectacular golf course. Thirteen holes are on
the coast itself, with eight holes running along the coastline, and another
five with tee or green on the shoreline. The additional holes wind through
the adjacent dunes. Combine Turnberry with Pebble Beach and you have
a pretty good idea what to look forward too.
DAY 8 Wednesday 16 February 2022 King Island
Play Cape Wickham
Today we will play our second eighteen holes at Cape Wickham. The
course is so spectacular and special it takes two games to take everything
in. After golf we will enjoy a farewell meal.
DAY 9 Thursday 17th February 2022 King Island, Depart
Play Ocean Dunes
While Cape Wickham dons the crown, Ocean Dunes is a spectacular silver
medalist and pairs as one of the best 36 hole days available in the world. The
course boasts a gorgeous oceanside setting and an exceptional collection
of par threes. Ocean Dunes joins the list of ‘must go’ golf destinations for
the travelling golfer. Covering 290 acres Ocean Dunes provides a fitting
end to our Tasmanian odyssey playing the best golf courses on the planet.
