



Bonnie-Marie Hibbs is a popular and experienced garden expert, writer and television presenter. She completed Certificate 111 in horticulture in 2012 and was awarded Apprentice of the Year. She has worked in various roles at Gardenworld Nursery since 2013. Her current role is as Gardenworld Ambassador. Bonnie- Marie has been a presenter on the Garden Gurus Channel 9 since 2014. She also freelances as a speaker at flower and garden shows across Australia. She is looking forward to sharing her garden knowledge with you.
VIEW ITINERARYDAY 1 Friday 29 October, 2021 Bowral
Tour members will travel to Sydney this morning. The coach will be ready for departure from Mascot Airport at 12.30pm. We will drive south to visit Red Cow Farm, a unique cool climate garden in the village of Sutton Forest. Developed around a cottage from the 1820s there are number of garden rooms; a cottage garden, a monastery garden, an abbess’s garden and many old fashioned roses and perennials. This evening we will come together for a welcome dinner to formally meet our host Bonnie-Marie Hibbs.
DAY 2 Saturday 30 October, 2021 Bowral
Today we will travel to Bundanoon for the Garden Ramble. The gardens chosen for the Ramble offer diversity in design, size and plantings. Gardens showcase the love and interpretation given to them by the owners. The owners will all be available and keen to speak to group members.
DAY 3 Sunday 31 October, 2021 Bowral
Today we will visit the Garden Ramble. Bonnie will help group members with answers to questions on plants and their suitability for growing in their gardens.
DAY 4 Monday 1 November, 2021 Bowral
Today we visit Redford Park, which dates back to a land grant in 1821. The house was built in 1887 by Samuel Horden as a rendered brick Italianate style residence. It is surrounded by a magnificent collection of evergreen and deciduous trees, some very rare and unique. On the eastern side of the property is a hedged garden, which includes a knot garden, a swimming pool with pavilion with many wonderful sculptures. This afternoon we will visit the Southern Highlands Botanical Gardens, which has recently been developed before visiting Glenys Lillendal’s garden of ¾ acre. Glenys has travelled on many Travelrite International tours, where she has found inspiration for developing her garden.
DAY 5 Tuesday 2 November, 2021 Bathurst
We are in for a treat today as we travel to near Oberon for visit to Mayfield Garden, one of the world’s largest privately-owned cool climate gardens, extending well over 160 acres. The garden began to take shape in the mid-1990’s. The stunning water garden extends over six acres and includes a spectacular stone and water featured garden filled with blue stone walls, man-made water features and carefully selected plants to delight the senses. The tour manager will meet those wishing to dine with the group.
DAY 6 Wednesday 3 November, 2021 Bathurst
Today we first visit Highfields garden, which incorporates Cloverhill rare plants. During our garden visit we will see many gorgeous rare plants and stunning perennial border plants, displayed in the garden. Many of them have been imported by David Kennedy, the owner, over many years. We continue with a visit to Hillandale a magnificent rambling country garden, which features a fern lined spring creek, a woodland and a 120 m long double herbaceous border. Many trees on the property are up to one hundred years old. The tour manager will meet those wishing to dine with the group.
DAY 7 Thursday 4 November, 2021 Bathurst
This morning we visit Coryu Japanese Garden, a Japanese inspired garden, which contains the most extensive range of maple varieties from around the world. The magnificent maples are planted around ponds, mini waterfalls, rockeries, stones and handmade bridges creating a gorgeous effect. This afternoon is free for individual activity.
DAY 8 Friday 5 November, 2021 Goulburn
Today we travel to Goulburn, where we visit Riversdale, a house in the
early colonial Regency style built about 1840 and surrounded by splendid
gardens. We will see many rare and unusual plants as Bonnie-Marie leads
the group around the garden. We will stay for three night as we visit the
Crookwell Garden Festival.
DAY 9 Saturday 6 November, 2021 Goulburn
Today we will first visit the Garden Lovers Market, where there will be
a chance to purchase a whole range of rare and unusual plants. We will
continue with visits to several of the gorgeous cool climate gardens open
for the Festival including the Edna Walling designed garden; Markdale.
The tour manager will meet those wishing to dine with the group.
DAY 10 Sunday 7 November, 2021 Nowra
Today we will visit several of the gorgeous cool climate gardens open for
the Festival. Bonnie-Marie will help the group with plant identification.
This afternoon we travel to spectacular Bundanon. Purchased by
Arthur Boyd in 1979, it was presented to the nation in 1993. Bundanon
is a beautiful property situated on the Shoalhaven River and has been
immortalised in the works of Sydney Nolan and Arthur Boyd. We will
enjoy a guided tour of the homestead and Arthur Boyd’s studio. We
continue our journey to Nowra and our hotel.
DAY 11 Monday 8 November, 2021 Sydney
This morning we travel to Sydney stopping to visit the Shoalhaven Heads
Native Botanic Garden. The garden has a fantastic fernery, a bush tucker
garden and a lot of variety in the plant selection.
DAY 12 Tuesday 9 November, 2021 Sydney
This morning we will visit the Lisgar Gardens in Hornsby. The gardens
are set in a gully full of rich native bush land dominated by Sydney blue
gums and are terraced down a steep slope with a dry stone wall of
sandstone. There is an area of formal lawn with structured garden beds
and an informal bush land area with walking trails. There are a number
of waterfalls and other water features and gorgeous stone work in the
garden. We continue with a visit to Eden Garden Centre. It is a fascinating
place with water dragons everywhere and lots to see and buy. There
will be time at the garden centre for lunch. In the evening we will come
together for a farewell dinner to say goodbye to our group and Bonnie-
Marie.
DAY 13 Wednesday 10 November, 2021 Departure
This morning we will visit Wendy Whiteley’s Secret Garden. After her
husband Bret’s death in 1992 Wendy started clearing the rubbish in the
unused railway land in front of her house. She had no idea what she would
find, but beneath the rubble there were large Moreton Bay Figs, bamboo
and other plants used as the bones for the garden she has created today.
We continue to the airport.

Deposit and Payment:
A deposit of $500 per person, should be
sent with a completed Travelrite International booking form to
Travelrite International. Final payments are due to be paid to Travelrite
International 45 days prior to the commencement of the tour. A 1.5%
administration fee will be added to payments by credit card.
Cancellation Charges: * Cancellation conditions don’t apply for clients with future cruise/tour credits. Cruise/tour credits are non-refundable. Cancellations received in writing 45 or more days from the date of departure will result in deposit being refunded. Cancellations received 44 or fewer days before departure will result in a loss of all monies paid. *Cancellation conditions don’t apply for clients with future tour credits. Refunds:
The tour is based on arrangements that do not allow for any
refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals, airfare or
other services not utilized after the tour has commenced.
Baggage: Due to coach restrictions, tour members can only bring one large suitcase.
Travel Insurance: Adequate travel insurance is highly recommended to cover cruise members for the consequences of unforeseen events during the cruise and for cancellation fees which could result from events such as illness, accident, death etc.
Minimum Tour Numbers: The tours has been priced on the basis of a minimum number of passengers having booked 45 days prior to departure. Travelrite International reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full refund of all monies paid or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour at a modified cost.

may without reference to you provide or make available to you, or may
as your agent engage any third party to provide or make available to you,
any good or service which Travelrite International reasonably believes is
necessary for your benefit to maintain the tour itinerary, repatriate you
or otherwise accommodate, transport or sustain you in circumstances in
which the tour itinerary fails wholly or partly for any reason. You appoint
Travelrite International your attorney for this purpose. You agree to pay
Travelrite International any cost thereof and you indemnify Travelrite
International in respect of any cost it incurs in this regard. Travelrite
advises you to obtain travel insurance generally including in respect of
the risk that any such good or service may become required.
