Clothing on board the Celebrity Constellation is typical attire, although shorts and swimwear are not permitted in the main restaurants. Nights at sea are classified as evening-chic for dress purposes and nights in port are classified as smart-casual. Evening Chic replaces formal nights and means that you can be glamorous and sophisticated in your own way. The self-service restaurants are casual attire.

Lyndey Milan has led two very successful cruises with us in the last two years and now we bring you a new one. Lyndey Milan, Australian home-cook hero, combines a thirst for life and a sense of fun with a love of good food and sparkling shiraz. A familiar face on television and in print, she has been instrumental in changing the way Australians think and feel about food and wine for more than thirty years. “Hospitality of the table” is her catchphrase, evidenced in her numerous television appearances, best-selling books and at countless culinary events over the years. She maintains her position at the forefront of Australian cuisine, making her the perfect tour leader.

Lyndey has hosted eight television series, including Lyndey Milan’s Taste of Australia, which won Best Food TV series at the Gourmand World Awards, along with the accompanying cookbook winning Best TV Chef cookbook. Lyndey is also a regular guest on morning television. During her years on Fresh on the Nine Network, Lyndey hosted visiting chefs such as Jamie Oliver, Rick Stein and Gordon Ramsay. She travels regularly and has an extensive knowledge and enthusiasm for Mediterranean food and wine. Lyndey’s friendly personality make her the ideal person to lead the Gourmet Western Mediterranean Cruise. Barcelona, Spain

This morning we arrive in Barcelona and enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city. Capital of Catalonia, Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain. We will see the Gothic Quarter, where we will visit the historic cathedral and the medieval streets. The modernist Eixample district is known for the architecture of Antonio Gaudi. We will see examples of Gaudi’s architecture, including the famous Sagrada Familia church. We then transfer to our hotel.

Barcelona

This morning we visit Barcelona’s central food and produce market, the famous La Boqueria. Located on La Rambla, the market offers a rich variety of fruit, vegetables, sausages, cheeses, meats and sweets. Lyndey will lead us around the market then she will take the group to a restaurant to enjoy the local cuisine.

Barcelona

Today we travel out of the city into the Catalonian countryside. We will visit some food producers on our leisurely tour of the Barcelona hinterland.

Celebrity Constellation

This morning we visit the Santa Caterina Market. Built on the site of the former convent, the market is known for its brightly coloured roof which houses numerous food stalls and restaurants serving high-quality produce. Lyndey will lead us around the market. In the early afternoon we will be transferred to the docks to board Celebrity Constellation. Be up on deck as the ship slips her moorings at 5pm for the start of our fabulous Mediterranean cruise.

Alicante, Spain

Today we arrive at the historic town of Alicante. We’ll enjoy a sightseeing tour including the Explanada de Espana and the Castle of Santa Barbara, which overlooks the city from Mount Benacantil. Our tour concludes in the Old Town at Mercado Central, where Lyndey will lead us around the two-storey market housed in a modernist-inspired building similar to a basilica.

At sea

A day at sea is the perfect opportunity to explore the fabulous facilities of this magnificent ship. Relax by the pool or in the day spa, take a class or listen to an informative talk. This afternoon Lyndey will give a presentation about the food of Spain.

Seville, Spain

This morning we arrive at the Spanish port of Cadiz. We drive through the spectacular Andalusian countryside to Seville, the capital of Andalucia. Seville is famous for flamenco dancing, bullfighting and its myriad cafés and tapas bars. We have a sightseeing tour of the main sites, including the cathedral and the Alcazar, famous for its beautiful tiles. We will visit some local food producers and have time to look around Seville’s most historic district, the famous Santa Cruz Quarter. We return to the ship late afternoon.

Gibraltar

This morning we arrive in the British enclave of Gibraltar. Ceded to Britain in 1713 and now claimed by Spain, the territory is known for its famous Rock and its important strategic location. We’ll enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city, including a ride on the cable car, which will take us up to the top of the Rock. From the top, we’ll be able to enjoy panoramic views of the city below, as well as the African coastline. The afternoon will be free for individual exploration.

At sea

Today is a free day to relax and enjoy the facilities aboard Celebrity Constellation. In the afternoon, Lyndey will give a cooking demonstration of Mediterranean food.

Montpellier, France

Today we arrive in Sete and travel by private coach to the nearby town of Montpellier. We’ll enjoy a food and producer-orientated sightseeing tour of the city. We then have an included lunch to celebrate this beautiful location.

Monday 16 October, 2017

Aix-en-Provence, France

This morning we travel by private coach to the nearby town of Aix-en- Provence. The old capital of Provence, Aix is a graceful city, known for its beautiful sandstone buildings. On our sightseeing tour we will see the Old Town with its striking 18th and 19th-century squares, many with beautiful fountains at their centre. We will enjoy an included lunch at a local restaurant.

Florence, Italy

This morning we arrive in Livorno, the bustling port for Tuscany. We will board our private coach and travel through the picturesque Tuscan countryside to the fascinating city of Florence, where we will have a guided tour of the famous San Lorenzo Market. We will see fresh produce and fascinating gourmet producers, as we explore the largest market in Tuscany. We then have an included lunch at a great restaurant in Florence.

Corsica, France

The ship arrives in Ajaccio this morning, the birth place of Napoleon Bonaparte in 1769. This morning we will visit Square Cesar Campinchi. Lyndey will lead us around this market place and we will have an opportunity to explore the wide range of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish and local wines. We’ll enjoy an included lunch at a local restaurant and this afternoon we will visit the house owned by the Bonaparte family from 1682 until 1923. Here we will encounter history, including fascinating decorative items and paintings.

Rome, Italy

This morning we arrive at the port of Civitavecchia and travel by coach to Rome. We will enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Eternal City and see the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, where group members can throw a coin and make a wish to return to Rome one day. In the afternoon we will check-in to our hotel.

This morning we visit one of the best markets in Rome. Besides being the most well-known, the Campo dei Fiori market is also one of the oldest markets in Rome. It has served the city since 1869. We will w ander through the stalls before heading to lunch at a local restaurant, knowing exactly what seasonal veggies to order. Lyndey will lead us around the market

Rome

This morning we will travel north by coach to the medieval hill town of Orvieto. Vineyards, famous for their delicious white wines, surround the town. Orvieto’s impressive gothic cathedral, houses some of Luca Signorelli’s most beautiful frescoes. We have an included lunch at one of the best vineyards outside Orvieto.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

International touring can involve a considerable amount of walking and stair climbing in the places visited and it is important that all tour participants have a level of physical fitness that allows them to take part in this activity without the need of assistance from others.

Tour Operator

Travelrite International Pty Ltd (ABN 64 005 817 078) is the tour organiser. Celebrity Constellation is operated by Celebrity Cruises and the Celebrity Constellation fly/cruise arrangements are subject to the terms and conditions and general information detailed in the Celebrity Cruises 2017 brochure and Celebrity website. All passengers must complete and sign a Travelrite booking form and complete the Celebrity cruises on-line check-in.

Deposit and Payment

A deposit of $900 per passenger should be sent with a completed Travelrite International booking form that lists your requested cabin category. As soon as the booking is confirmed (usually within 24 hours) a cruise confirmation advice will be posted to the client. Final payments are due to be paid to Travelrite International 90 days prior to the commencement of the fly/cruise package. A 1.5% administration fee will be added to all payments made by Visa and Master Card and a 3% administration charge will be added to payments by Amex and Diners Club cards. If fares and airtaxes change due to government and airport regulations and currency fluctuations Travelrite reserves the right to charge additional amounts.

Refunds

The tour is based on arrangements that do not allow for any refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals, airfare or other services not utilized after the tour has commenced.

Travel Documents

All passengers will require a valid passport. Visas for countries visited are not required for Australian passport holders. If you hold another passport please check with Travelrite. BAGGAGE: All passengers qualify for the 20kg (441b) free baggage

Travel Insurance

Adequate travel insurance is highly recommended to cover cruise members for the consequences of unforeseen events during the cruise and for cancellation fees which could result from events such as illness, accident, death etc.

Baggage

Passengers qualify for a 30kg free baggage allowance on flights to join or return from the cruise.

Minimum Tour Numbers

The fly/cruise arrangements have been made on the basis of a minimum number of passengers travelling. In the event that less than the required number of passengers have confirmed their booking 90 days from the date of departure, Travelrite International reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full refund of monies paid, or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour at a modified fare.

Neither Nationwide News Pty Limited nor any of its subsidiaries, nor any of its newspapers have any involvement in the tour, and have no liability of any kind to any person in relation to the tour. Travelrite International Pty Ltd, its agents, officers, affiliates, and/or suppliers of services pursuant to, or in connection with these fly/cruises, shall act only as agents in making arrangements for hotels, transportation, including transportation by ship, restaurants, or any other service and do not assume any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person or property due to an act of negligence or a default of any hotel, carrier restaurant company or person rendering any services included in fly/cruises, or by act of God. Further, no responsibilities are accepted for any damage or delay due to sickness, pilferage, labour disputes, machinery break-down, quarantine, government restraints, weather, terrorism or other causes beyond their control.
