Day 1 Tuesday February 22, 2011 Sydney
This afternoon we board the fabulous Queen Mary 2 in Sydney for the start of our exciting cruise.

Day 2 Wednesday February 23, 2011 Departure
You will have a free day in Sydney to enjoy exploring the city or the ship. This evening we will have a Welcome Cocktail Party to celebrate the start of the cruise. After enjoying the wonderful QM2 cuisine at dinner go up on deck as the ship slips her moorings and cruises Sydney Harbour and through the Heads into the Pacific Ocean.

Day 3 Thursday February 24, 2011 At sea
Today we cruise the Tasman Sea. Perhaps attend a dance class or lecture.

Day 4 Friday February 25, 2011 At sea
This afternoon we have a fun session of Bingo with prizes for the winners.

Day 5 Saturday February 26, 2011 Christchurch
Today we call in to Lyttleton, the port for Christchurch. Christchurch with its very English feel, is the largest city in the south island of New Zealand and boasts modern architecture and historic buildings set against beautiful parks, gardens, rivers and beaches. This afternoon we travel to the beautiful Banks Peninsula and the village of Akaroa, originally founded by the French, it is now a delightful town, still retaining the ambience of France.

Day 6 Sunday February 27, 2011 At sea
A free day to enjoy the wonderful facilities on the ship. You may want to visit the Planetarium or walk down history lane at the Maritime Quest Exhibit. This afternoon you are invited for a game of Trivial Pursuit. We organise the group into teams to play for prizes. The rest of the day will be free to enjoy the ship.

Day 7 Monday February 28, 2011 Auckland
This morning we dock in Auckland, the largest city and commercial centre of New Zealand. Our morning city tour takes in the main sights including the Harbour Bridge, which spans the beautiful Waitemata Harbour, Mount Eden, where we get a panoramic view of the city, the Auckland Museum and the quaint and stylish shopping area of Parnell.

Day 8 Tuesday March 1, 2011 Auckland
The day is free to explore Auckland or to enjoy the wonderful facilities of the ship. Be up on deck as we sail out of gorgeous Auckland Harbour this evening.

Day 9 Wednesday March 2, 2011 At sea
A day at sea, perhaps enjoy pampering in the Cunard Health Club and Spa or you may choose to attend a lecture, have a swim or enjoy a book while lying on one of the many deck chairs.

Day 10 Thursday March 3, 2011 At sea
A free day to enjoy the facilities of the ship. This afternoon we will play bingo with prizes for the winners.

Day 11 Friday March 4, 2011 At sea
A free day to enjoy the facilities of the ship. Perhaps attend an engaging guest speaker’s lecture or take a dip in one of the many pools.

Day 12 Saturday March 5, 2011 At sea
A day at sea to enjoy the facilities of the ship. Visit the Library, where you can borrow from one of the Library’s six thousand titles. In the evening attend a show in the splendid Royal Court Theatre.

Day 13 Sunday March 6, 2011 At sea
This afternoon join our group for shipboard sports. We will organise members of the group into pairs to play quoits and shuffleboard with prizes for the winners.

Day 14 Monday March 7, 2011 Guam
Today we call in to the Micronesian Island of Guam, where we have a sightseeing tour of Hagnata, the island’s capital. We see Two Lovers leap, where two lovers unable to marry, jumped off the limestone cliff and the Governor’s residence. We will return to the ship for lunch. The afternoon will be free for individual exploration.

A free day to enjoy the facilities of the ship.

Day 16 Wednesday March 9, 2011 At sea
A free day to enjoy the facilities of the ship.

Day 17 Thursday March 10, 2011 Tokyo, Japan
We arrive into Yokohama, Japan today. We are met by our coach and travel to Tokyo, where we visit the famous Ginza shopping district, renowned as the most expensive real estate in the world. We visit the Imperial Palace East Gardens, which is part of the royal residence and a superb example of traditional Japanese landscape design. We return to the ship early evening.

Day 18 Friday March 11, 2011 At sea
A free day to enjoy the facilities of the ship.

Day 19 Saturday March 12, 2011 Nagasaki, Japan
Today we arrive in the city of Nagasaki, best known as the site of the second nuclear attack on Japan during WWII and have a sightseeing tour of the city. We see the Peace Memorial Park, located near Ground Zero, the centre of the blast, with its beautiful memorial fountain and the 30-foot-high Statue of Peace. We will also see other parts of the city that was for 200 years Japan’s port to the outside world.

Day 20 Sunday March 13, 2011 At sea
A free day to enjoy the facilities of the ship. Come and test your knowledge with a game of Trivial Pursuit.

Day 21 Monday March 14, 2011 Beijing, China
This morning we arrive in Xinang, the port for Beijing. We disembark after breakfast and are transferred to the city of Beijing. This afternoon we have a sightseeing tour to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. See how the Emperors of China used to live. We return to the ship early evening.

Day 22 Tuesday March 15, 2011 At sea
A day to relax and enjoy the ship. You may choose to have a dip in one of the many pools or read a book while relaxing in a deck chair looking out to sea.

Day 23 Wednesday March 16, 2011 Shanghai
After breakfast we have a sightseeing tour of Shanghai. Known as the ‘Paris of the East’ Shanghai captures the essence of the new China and is also known for its centuries of history and culture. We will visit classic sights from the Ming and Qing dynasties such as the enchanting Yuyuan Garden and Shanghai Old Street. The tour will also stop at the Bund on Shanghai’s waterfront, a showcase of pre-1949 architecture. The symbol of old and new Shanghai, the Bund is Shanghai’s most famous landmark.

Day 24 Thursday March 17, 2011 At sea
A final day at sea to enjoy the facilities of the ship and for any last minute shopping you may like to do. This evening we have a final night dinner to celebrate our fantastic cruise of Asia.

Day 25 Friday March 18, 2011 Hong Kong
We have a sightseeing tour of this spectacular city and stop at Stanley market and visit Victoria Peak, known for its panoramic view of the harbour. We will also visit Aberdeen Harbour known for its traditional Junks. There will be time during the day for shopping.

Day 26 Saturday March 19, 2011 Hong Kong
We depart the Queen Mary 2 this morning. We will transfer to our hotel for a one night stay. There will be free time for individual exploration. Why not catch a ferry to one of the nearby islands. This evening we will have a farewell dinner to celebrate our enjoyable holiday. D

Day 27 Sunday March 20, 2011 Departure
A free day for individual exploration. Early evening we will transfer to the airport for a flight to Australia.

Day 28 Monday March 21, 2011 Australia
Arrival in Australia and tour arrangements conclude.
