Day 2 Saturday 3 April, 2010 Dubai
This morning we arrive in the city of Dubai. Upon arrival we are met by our private coach for a sightseeing tour of the city to see the modern developments that have catapulted it into the twenty-first century over the last few years. We are then transferred to the our hotel.

Day 3 Sunday 4 April, 2010 Dubai
A free day to relax in Dubai and enjoy Dubai’s reputation for fabulous shopping. This evening we travel by 4WD vehicles through the dunes to the desert for a welcome dinner under the stars. Enjoy traditional belly dancers and savour the tastes of Arabia. BD

Day 4 Monday 5 April, 2010 Queen Victoria
Today we have a free morning for shopping before we depart the hotel and are transferred to the port to board the fabulous Queen Victoria. After you check into your cabin you can enjoy a fantastic meal and the fabulous entertainment in the Royal Theatre. B

Day 5 Tuesday 6 April, 2010 Queen Victoria Our first day at sea!
This evening join us for a Welcome Cocktail Party to celebrate the start of our Queen Victoria cruise.

Day 6 Wednesday 7 April, 2010 Salalah, Oman
Today we call in to the port of Salalah on the Frankincense coast. This is Oman’s second city. Salalah is a striking change from Dubai. It catches the Indian summer monsoon and as a result it is cool, wet and green from mid-June to mid-September. We have a sightseeing tour of the area and see and smell the famed fragrance of frankincense, once a most precious export worth more than its weight in gold. Your sense of smell will be enlightened!

A day to enjoy the facilities of the ship. This afternoon we will have a game of The Seniors Bingo.

Day 10 Sunday 11 April, 2010 Aquaba, Jordan
Today we call in to the port of Aquaba, Jordan and have a sightseeing tour to the spectacular ancient city of Petra. Known as the “Rose Red City, half as old as time” it was carved directly from the rock by the Nabateans. It is also known for having been filmed in the movie “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.”

Day 11 Monday 12 April, 2010 Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt
This morning we call in to the town of Sharm el-Sheikh on the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt and have a sightseeing tour to Saint Catherine’s Monastery, which is located at the foot of Mount Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments.

Day 12 Tuesday 13 April, 2010 Suez, Egypt
Today we travel through the desert to the Nile River on a sightseeing trip to Cairo. We visit Giza and see one of the wonders of the ancient world: the Pyramids, built by the Pharaohs over 4500 years ago. We see the Sphinx, dated to 2,500 BC and have a guided tour to explain the history of these ancient buildings. We visit the Cairo Museum and see the treasures of the tomb of Tutankhamen, including the amazing gold mask. The ship will start transiting the Suez Canal at 6:00am.

Day 14 Thursday 15 April, 2010 Athens, Greece
Today we call in to Athens, the capital of Greece and have a sightseeing tour of this ancient city. We see the famous Acropolis, the symbol of Athens and a guide will take us to the Parthenon, built at the height of its classical heritage in the 5th century BC.

Day 15 Friday 16 April, 2010 At sea
A day at sea to enjoy the facilities of the ship. This afternoon enjoy a game of The Senior Trivial Pursuit.

Day 16 Saturday 17 April, 2010 Rome
Today we have a sightseeing tour of the eternal city of Rome and see the Coliseum, the Vatican and St Peters Basilica. We visit the old town and see the Spanish Steps, the Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, one of the few perfectly preserved ancient Roman buildings.

This morning we arrive in Southampton, England. After breafast we disembark and travel to London to check into our hotel.

Day 22 Friday 23 April, 2010 London
A free day to explore London. Visit some of the many sites in this historic city. This evening we will have a final night dinner to celebrate our fabulous cruise. BD

Day 23 Saturday 24 April, 2010 Departure
Early afternoon we depart the hotel to visit the historic city of Windsor. There will be free time to explore at leisure. In the early evening the group will be transferred to the airport for the flight back to Australia. B

Tour members arrive back in Australia and the tour concludes.
