Day 1 Tuesday 29 March 2011 Departure

Today we board our airline to fly to Dubai.

Day 2 Wednesday 30 March 2011 Dubai
This morning we arrive in the city of Dubai. Upon arrival, we are met by our private coach and transferred to our hotel. In the afternoon we have a sightseeing tour of the city to see the modern developments that have catapulted this city into the twenty-first century over the last few years.

Day 3 Thursday 31 March 2011 Dubai
A free day to relax in Dubai and enjoy Dubai’s reputation for fabulous shopping. This evening the group is picked up by 4WD jeeps to travel into the desert for our fantastic “dinner in the desert” We will travel over hilly dunes to a location where we will have a BBQ dinner and watch traditional belly dancers. BD

Day 4 Friday 1 April 2011 Queen Elizabeth
Today we have a free morning for shopping before we depart the hotel and are transferred to the port to board the fabulous Queen Elizabeth. After you check into your cabin you can enjoy a fantastic meal, before relaxing with the fabulous entertainment in the royal theatre. B

Day 5 Saturday 2 April 2011 Queen Elizabeth
Our first day at sea! A day to enjoy the facilities of the ship. This evening join us for a Welcome Cocktail Party to celebrate the start of our cruise on Queen Elizabeth.

Day 6 Sunday 3 April 2011 Salalah, Oman
Today we call in to the port of Salalah on the Frankincense coast. This is Oman’s second city and is a striking contrast to Dubai as it catches the Indian summer monsoon. The climate is best from late September to early April. We have a sightseeing tour of the area and see and smell the famed fragrance of frankincense, once a most precious export worth more than its weight in gold. Your sense of smell will be enlightened!

Day 7 Monday 4 April 2011 At sea
A day to enjoy the facilities of the ship. This afternoon we will have a game of The Seniors Bingo with prizes for the winners.

Day 8 Tuesday 5 April 2011 At sea
A day to enjoy the facilities of the ship.

Day 9 Wednesday 6 April 2011 At sea
A day to enjoy the facilities of the ship. This afternoon we will have a game of The Seniors Trivial Pursuit.

Day 10 Thursday 7 April 2011 Petra, Jordan
Today we call in to the port of Aquaba, Jordan. We will have a sightseeing tour to the spectacular ancient city of Petra. Known as the “Rose Red City, half as old as time” it was carved directly from the rock by the Nabateans. It is also known for having been filmed in the movie “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade”. One of the highlights of the cruise!

Day 11 Friday 8 April 2011 At sea
We spend today cruising the Red Sea.

Day 12 Saturday 9 April 2011 Suez Canal
Today we transit the famous Suez canal. The canal allows ships to sail into the Indian Ocean from the Mediterranean Sea without having to sail around Africa.

Day 13 Sunday 10 April 2011 At sea
A day at sea to enjoy the facilities of the ship. We will cruise the Mediterranean today.

Day 14 Monday 11 April 2011 Athens, Greece
Today we call in to Athens, the capital of Greece. We have a sightseeing tour of this ancient city and see the famous Acropolis, the symbol of Athens. A guide will take us to the Parthenon built at the height of its classical heritage in the fifth century BC.

Day 15 Tuesday 12 April, 2011 At sea
A day at sea to enjoy the facilities of the ship. This afternoon enjoy a game of The Seniors Trivial Pursuit.

Day 16 Wednesday 13 April 2011 Rome, Italy
Today we have a sightseeing tour of the eternal city of Rome. We see the Coliseum, the Vatican and St Peters Basilica. We visit the old town and see the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, where you can throw in a coin to wish to return to Rome some day, the Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, one of the few perfectly preserved ancient Roman buildings.

Day 17 Thursday 14 April 2011 At sea
A day at sea to relax. This afternoon join our group for shipboard sports. We will organise members of the group in pairs to play quoits and shuffleboard with prizes for the winners.

Day 18 Friday 15 April 2011 At sea
A day at sea to enjoy the facilities of the ship. We have a game of The Seniors Bingo this afternoon.

Day 19 Saturday 16 April 2011 Lisbon
We arrive at Lisbon the capital of Portugal. We have a sightseeing tour of this fine city and visit the historic town of Sintra in the hills west of the city. We spend the evening in Lisbon.

Day 20 Sunday 17 April 2011 At sea
Free time to explore Lisbon before we sail.Day 21 Monday 18 April 2011 At sea Cruising the Atlantic Ocean. Our final day at sea, to do some last minute shopping at the wonderful boutiques on board.

Day 22 Tuesday 19 April 2011 London
This morning we arrive in Southampton, England. After breakfast we disembark and travel to London. On arrival in London we have a sightseeing tour before we are transferred to our hotel. This evening we will enjoy a final night dinner to celebrate our fabulous cruise. BD

Day 23 Wednesday 20 April 2011 Departure
The day will be free. In the early evening the group will be transferred to the airport for the flight back to Australia. B

Day 24 Thursday 21 April 2011 In flight

Day 25 Friday 22 April 2011 Arrival
Tour members arrive back in Australia and the tour concludes.

Day 1 Thursday 24 March 2011 Dubai
Today we depart Australia for Dubai.

Day 2 Friday 25 March 2011 Dubai
We arrive in Dubai early morning and are transferred to our hotel. This afternoon we have a sightseeing tour of Dubai. We will see some of the spectacular developments that this growing city is famous for.

Day 3 Saturday 26 March 2011 Dubai
The morning is free for sightseeing or shopping. In the afternoon we are transferred to the Nad al-Sheba racecourse to attend the exciting and famous Dubai World Cup, the richest horse race in the world. Enjoy the race from our reserved seats with dinner while you watch the races. The best that Dubai racing has to offer – the highlight of the tour! D

Day 4 Sunday 27 March 2011 Muscat, Oman
We depart Dubai and fly to the city of Muscat, capital of Oman. On arrival we are transferred to our hotel.

Day 5 Monday 28 March 2011 Muscat, Oman
This morning we have a sightseeing tour. We visit the stunning Grand Mosque, the Oman History Museum, the markets and the colourful Muttrah Souk and have a short stop to see the outside of the Al Alam Palace. The rest of the afternoon is free.

Day 6 Tuesday 29 March 2011 Muscat, Oman
We have a day tour into the spectacular countryside today. We visit the fortresses of Nizwa and Jabrin. Jabrin is Oman’s finest castles, which contains intricate wood carvings and detailed ceiling paintings. Nizwa was the legendary home to Sinbad the Sailor.

Day 7 Wednesday 30 March 2011 Dubai
Today we are transferred to the airport for the flight to Dubai to join the group arriving for the cruise.
