Ancient Cities of Carthage and Libya on board The Aegean Oddessy
31 October - 19 November 2010

Legend of the seas

Aegean Odyssey

The Aegean Oddessy has just finished a re-fit to allow generously sized suites, junior suites and staterooms with and without balconies. The ship was launched in 1974. There is accommodation for up to 380 guests with a choice of restaurants. The most formal restaurant is the Marco Polo. The Terrace Café replicates the charm and ambience of a seaside trattoria or you can enjoy dining at Tapas on the Terrace. It is open for dinner and provides Mediterranean bistro style food. The ship has a beautifully appointed and well- stocked library. There is an internet centre, an outdoor pool, a spa and jacuzzi and a fully equipped gym. There is also a lecture theatre, cinema, a medical centre and beauty salon.

During the cruise there will be talks by guest speakers on the following topics.

  • Romans in Africa.
  • Amporae and Oil: Commercial Life in the Roman World.
  • Dido, Hannibal and Carthage: The history of the Carthaginian civilisation.

Great fly/cruise inclusions

Clothing on board Aegean Odyssey
During the day casual clothing is typical, although shorts and swimwear are not permitted in the formal restaurants. In the evening a jacket is required for the gentlemen and equivalent for the ladies in the formal restaurant. The self-service restaurant is casual.

Don’t worry about coming alone
About one third of people on the cruise travel alone. We will match people in twinshare cabins when available. This saves the need to pay a single supplement. You won’t be left alone. The Travelrite tour manager will be looking after you. There will be group activities almost every day.

The advantages of the Cruise
The cruise is fully escorted and will be a great fun holiday with plenty of activities. Each evening you will eat with the group on our reserved tables. You will meet fun people and have a fabulous time.
