Helen Young is a well-known garden identity, whose weekly column for The Australian newspaper has been running more than ten years. Sydney residents will know her as a long-term regular on 702ABC's Saturday gardening show. She has published two gardening books, is garden editor of Australian House and Garden magazine and is a contributor to Gardening Australia magazine.
Operating her own landscaping business for nearly 20 years, Helen designs and advises on gardens, and is passionate about plants. She has led garden tours to Spain, Portugal, England, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Japan, New Zealand and Tasmania. Helen looks forward to sharing her horticultural knowledge and enthusiasm with members of this tour.

The Holland America Oosterdam
The Oosterdam is a premium cruise ship from the fleet of Holland America Line. Their mid-sized ships are designed to be large enough to offer all the amenities while preserving an elegant and refined ambience. Launched in August 2003 it is one of the latest Vista class ships. The interior of the ship has a soaring three-storey atrium and a multi-million dollar collection of artwork and antiques. There are four restaurants and cafés, three pools, five whirlpool spas, a fitness centre and spa. There are two entertainment/public room decks. The show lounge spans four decks. A voyage on the Oosterdam is an experience to be enjoyed and remembered!
Clothing on board Oosterdam
During the day casual clothing is typical, although shorts and swimwear are not permitted in the formal restaurants. There are four nights at sea classified as formal for dress purposes. Nights in port are classified as informal. During the evening on formal nights, a suit for gentlemen and eveningwear for ladies is required for the main restaurants. Smart casual attire is required in the public lounges and restaurants.
