Denise Gadd
Denise Gadd has been a journalist for over forty years and now writes about gardening for The Age newspaper. Gardening was foisted on Denise from a young age while living in Nottingham with her mother who worked for British rose grower Harry Wheatcroft. Denise hated it and vowed never to have a garden when she grew up. Denise then moved to Australia and bought a house of her own – with a garden. Now she is as passionate as her mother about tilling the soil.
"I'm delighted that Denise will be leading the 2012 garden tour, she loves gardens and gardening and knows the overseas gardens well. She will ensure that everybody has a great time" – Jane Edmanson
